How are your glass sculptures made?
All our glass sculptures are hand made using borosilicate glass. This glass is then melted by a glass blowing torch that reaches about 2000ºc. The glass is then manipulated by the intense heat and glass blown to create the final piece.
How is the colour applied?
All our glass art is coloured by a coloured borosilicate glass. The coloured glass is melted and then fused into the piece as it is being created; giving the final piece everlasting colour that will not fade or dull.
How are the gold highlights applied?
The gold lustre is applied by dipping the finished piece into 22ct gold plating and then the glass is fired in a kiln to about 600ºc to ensure maximum adhesion to the glass.
